Allen Barbee

Oboe/Bassoon

Barbee earned his Master of Music degree from DePaul University in Chicago. He earned his Bachelor of Music degree from Furman University in Greenville, and is currently a Music Director and Conductor of Peachtree Symphonic Winds. A recipient of numerous awards and recognitions, he also has an honorary Ph.D in Education. Allen performs on oboe and bassoon reguarly with the Aurora Theatre, Musica Sacra, and Atlanta Lyric orchestras. He also performs on and teaches all woodwind instruments, as well as conducts and adjudicated throughout the southeast.
